The 180º Double Hide

This hide is setup for 2 photographers to have equal opportunities shooting across 3 aspects giving a full 180º view. It’s situated up on the top of a rise in the land giving excellent views out over the surrounding land. The land itself is planted with a mixture of cover crops, pollen and nectar and wildflowers. From October - April we run this hide as full days only then for the summer from April - October we split the sessions up into AM or PM slots. A google search will tell you sunrise/sunset times on any given day of the year - for the AM sessions we are aiming to have you in the hide just before sunrise and the PM sessions it is important you plan to stay in the hide until last light. This is due to the Hares being largely nocturnal so you will find the best times of the day for activity are around sunrise and sunset.

This hide isn’t one of our usual situations where by we are using food or natal grounds to give the photographer the advantage - our advantage here is the number of hares present. The hares have free rein over massive areas of countryside and can move at an incredible speeds. We are 100% confident you will see hares on the day most often seeing them before you even get to the hide however the distances at which they show themselves once in there and how they behave isn’t something we can control. Using this hide you are simply a spectator to nature so you need to be alert at all times checking what’s happening around you and be ready with your camera when they come to within shooting range.

The hides are situated on a working farm with both bridleways and public footpaths running through it. We cannot guarantee that you will not have disturbance from walkers, horse riders or farm machinery during the session. If this is likely to be a problem if it occurs then please don’t book onto the hide.
